When Lakshmi is pleased, her very glance bestows blessings. In these verses, the worshiper invokes Lakshmi to turn her beneficent glance toward the home, showering it with protection and blessings.
O Mahalakshmi,
Abundant with wealth and grains,
Draw near!
As I bow humbly before you,
Look upon me with favor.
