What is Energy?

Energy is the constant force that is the basis for all things, be it animal, human, inanimate etc.

There are four main types of energy; these are known as the elemental energies of the world.

Earth Fire Air Water
These elemental energies are split into two Groups, physical (Earth & Fire) and spiritual (Air and Water)

These elements and their groups represent the major aspects of human creation.

Earth = Stability/Grounding (Physical) Fire = Instinct/Passion (Physical) Air = Intellect/Knowledge (Spirit) Water = Emotion/Wisdom (Spirit)
All four energy groups have differing degrees of frequency, this means that they fluctuate on different levels, however they are still existent on the same plane (that of the material/physical.)

The earth energy resonates a very stable and grounding frequency, while the fire has the same attributes, but with higher fluctuation levels, thus the trait representations of physicality.

The air energy resonates at a slightly higher level than that of the earth and fire energies, and has more of a flowing fluctuation style. Water has the same attributes, (but like fire) has higher fluctuation levels, thus the trait representations of spirit.

The fifth element however, has a higher vibration than the common four, and is therefore representative solely of the astral plane, the higher plane of existence, in which these energies are more freely able to be manipulated.

There is a sixth element, that which we call the source, or universal element. This is representative of the combination of all elements in a single instance. This combination led to the creation of the universe, via the complex merging of energy vibrations.

How do Humans fit into the equation of Energy?

Within the physical shell, energy has condensed itself into particular balls which service particular purposes.

Energy in itself (while not alive in the same respect that human perspectives view living and death) is alive to a particular standard, it is aware; it lives and breathes through its fluctuations.

Each aspect, listed below, represents the major facets that make up the human personality;

Sexual (Root) Intuitive (Sacral) Willpower (Solar Plexus) Love (Heart) Communication (Throat) Spirituality (Third Eye) Wisdom (Crown)
These are presided over by the various energies that are vibrating at these same levels, which are condensed into what we call chakras, or energy centres.

These seven centres correspond with the elemental energy vibrations that make up the creation of the universe and beyond.

Root & Sacral = Earth; Solar Plexus & Heart = Fire; Throat & Third Eye = Air; Crown = Water

Having stated this though, the energies are not solely and completely condensed within their residing energy centres, they can move in and around other energy centres, connecting and conflicting with each other, this creates a dualistic balance within every person. Energy can ebb to a rhythmic fluctuation, or it can build up to a volatile fluctuation, or it can flow at a steady pace. One thing that must be remembered is that energy is constantly moving.

How does Mythology fit with Energy?

Throughout the centuries, mythology has had a huge impact on the day to day workings of human life. From the most ancient civilisations where pantheons of Gods rule every aspect of life, to the more modern day effects of being recognized and worshipped, but not in the same capacity as that of ancient life.

As stated above, energy has awareness, over the centuries; energy has read the fluctuations and vibrations of newly formed energy within the physical/material world.

One interesting factor is that energy has (due to the connectivity with that of human energy centres) attached itself to particular civilisations, binding themselves to particular countries and beliefs, changing the direction and understanding that humans have on the world around them, these acts (whether advertent or inadvertent) ultimately led to the creation of mythological Gods and Creatures.

This kind of act can be seen from the very beginning of the human sedentary civilisations, ranging from the Sumerian Culture, to Egyptian, Jewish, Buddhist, Celtic, Hindu etc

Even in the society of today's modern age, we can still feel and tap into the influences of energy within these long dead cultures, why? Because energy does not dissipate, although cultural practices and beliefs may have been forgotten; those energies which have been voluntarily linked to these civilisations are not dead, they are still in existence, we just have to learn to feel the energy around us and understand its existence.

Who are Temple of the Ancients?

We are not a belief system. We recognize the importance and integral part that energy plays within our life, this is our path. It is not something one can just "believe" in, it is something one takes upon oneself and merges within all aspects of their life.

Predominately we learn from, and work with the energies from the Sumerian Pantheon, as this is connected to the first sedentary civilisation of the human era.

Although we base it upon Sumerian energies, we do recognize the existence of other original energy systems.

We do not recognize monotheistic belief systems, as our belief in the universal energy is outlined below, thus being unable to have a co-existing omnipotent entity:

When universal energy is first created, it is created via the combination of all five elements (earth, fire, air, water and spirit) all of these energies go into the creation of the universal energy (source.)Once this universal energy has started the process of creation (chain reaction of energy interaction) the five elements which originally created the universal energy are dispersed and once again resume being the five separate elements. Therefore a second universal energy (ie. An Omnipotent entity) cannot be in existence within the creation of the universe, as this would start the process all over again. (Think of this as the big bang theory on a metaphysical level.)

Thus our understanding of universal energy (the five elements joining together to create a universal energy), as two source elements (universal creations) cannot co-exist as one source element (God for example) would act like a vacuum for all existing energies, thus one universe (ie. Human universe) would cease to exist, and a new universe would be created.
