A volunteer wrote: Lucky is a 2 year old cat became my ?project? cat the other night. And though it says ?unknown sex? on the cage card, I will take a guess and say Lucky is a boy. I have a 50/50 chance of being right! Anyway, there is always a cat who is a little shy and reserved, but you just know that with some time and love they will reveal themselves to be a hidden gem. I think Lucky could be that cat. He came into the shelter on a cruelty hold, and I can?t imagine what kind of situation he was living in?and how overwhelming his new surroundings must be. It makes sense for him to be a little on the shy and unsure side. But it seems like Lucky is still curious about human friends and perhaps interested in getting to know them. I dropped by his cage every 15 minutes or so during my shift, saying hello and letting Lucky get used to my voice. I didn?t want to scare him or make him retreat to the back his cage, but Lucky surprised me?he seemed to be interested in me and might even have liked having someone give him attention. He stayed up front each time and watched me intently as I worked in the ward. He was especially interested when I took notes for his bio?I promised him I would say something nice about him! So here I am?saying something nice! Please consider giving this guy a chance. I think he just needs some time and some love. He?s been waiting since 4/28.
